#R1# Rodrigez misses the shot to the body. #TD2# Excellent takedown into side control there by Rodrigez. I wouldn't like to be where Redondo is right now. Redondo struggling a bit here. Redondo tries to improve position but can't. Rodrigez throws an elbow but Redondo slips to the side and avoids it well. Redondo is trying to control Rodrigez's posture but Rodrigez avoids it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Redondo stuck in half guard on the bottom here. Redondo stops Rodrigez from passing to mount. Redondo is trying to work for a sweep but Rodrigez has mounted him! Redondo definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.#T1# Redondo can't escape the position.

Redondo is looking to get to half guard. Rodrigez avoids the attempt from Redondo to control. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Rodrigez cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Redondo is squirming around, avoiding Rodrigez's attempts to control the action. #T2# Redondo tries to hold on but Rodrigez postures up. Rodrigez looking to control but Redondo is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Rodrigez might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Redondo haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Rodrigez avoids the attempt from Redondo to control. Redondo is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#SUB2# Rodrigez wants to finish this one by submission but Redondo is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Rodrigez. #T3# Rodrigez scoring with strikes but Redondo is staying in there. Redondo is looking to improve his position but Rodrigez isn't that keen on the idea. Redondo sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Redondo is not content to let Rodrigez control the position.#SUB2# Rodrigez is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Redondo has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Rodrigez is working away from the top position though. Rodrigez is trying to control the action in half guard but Redondo is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. #T4# Redondo is trying is best to control the position here. #SUB# Redondo actively working from the bottom here. Rodrigez working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Redondo is looking to control Rodrigez's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Redondo avoid being mounted? Redondo wants to improve his position but Rodrigez is controlling well.
Redondo gets full guard. Rodrigez stopping the sweep attempt from Redondo. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Redondo is on top in guard.
#REVR# The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Rodrigez being controlled here, momentarily. Redondo advances to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Emanuel Rodrigez dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. #R2##TD2# Rodrigez darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.#SUB2# Rodrigez is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Redondo sees it coming and defends easily. Redondo wants to control but Rodrigez is keeping busy and won't allow it. Rodrigez performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Redondo is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Rodrigez's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Rodrigez's back!#SUB# Redondo looking to break Rodrigez's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Rodrigez remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Redondo will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rodrigez is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Redondo.

Rodrigez is in real trouble here. Redondo gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Rodrigez is tapping out! Redondo wins by rear naked choke!

#R1# Miller with a jab. Miller lands with a cross. Redondo tries a head kick but it misses.
Miller shoots in looking for a takedown but Redondo manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Miller's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Redondo throws a combination that misses and Miller makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Redondo takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Redondo takes one to the side of the head.
Redondo wants to clinch. Redondo on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Redondo shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Miller connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.#T1# Redondo doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Redondo tries to clinch there but Miller circles away.
Redondo with a lazy takedown attempt enabling Miller to counter with a crisp jab. Miller with a hook.#KD# Miller feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Redondo sprawling to the canvas! Redondo rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Miller finish him?!
#ROC# Redondo is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Redondo glances at the clock... BAM! Miller nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Redondo crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Redondo is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jason Miller!
