That's better than Puet was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Puet is looking to take a break and control but Monroe is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Puet really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Monroe. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Monroe is trying to control Puet's posture but Puet avoids it. Puet tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Troy Douglas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.#TD2# Douglas shoots in and gets a takedown into Monroe's guard. Douglas throws a big right hand that misses. Monroe really is a fat lump. Douglas is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Monroe keeping full guard, as Douglas tries to pass. #SUB# Douglas got a little sloppy there for a moment and Monroe has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Douglas has managed to get both his arms back between Monroe's legs - danger averted. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Monroe can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Douglas controls the pace. Monroe not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Monroe doesn't seem to be complaining.

Monroe is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Monroe is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
