Arnessen has Ramaphosa pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Ramaphosa is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Arnessen - that's hurt Ramaphosa badly! Oh, another knee lands and Ramaphosa is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Ramaphosa doesn't seem to be complaining.

John shoots in looking for a takedown. Ramaphosa tries to sprawl out of it but John keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ramaphosa manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Ramaphosa shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. John is trying to defend but Ramaphosa finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Ramaphosa content to control rather than advance.
Ramaphosa wants to free his trapped foot but John is holding on for dear life with his legs.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
