Howlett might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Howlett throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Asce works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Howlett has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Howlett postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Howlett stays in close to Asce's body and controls the position. Allen throws a leg kick which misses Asce's front leg but catches the back leg as Asce tries to avoid it. Allen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Asce closes the distance and lands a one-two. Allen with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

The referee will not allow him to do that for long. #SU2# Willian Jr stands up from guard. Let's bang! Willian Jr stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Asce.#TD2# Willian Jr shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Asce lands with an uppercut that bounces Johnson off the cage and back into range. Johnson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Asce appears to be looking for a big counter. Asce lands a jab to Johnson's midsection. Asce tries to close the distance and clinch up but Johnson swats him away and circles back towards the center. Johnson is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Asce. Johnson throws a one two combo.
#T4# This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Asce shoots in looking for a takedown. Johnson tries to sprawl out of it but Asce keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Johnson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Jo Asce is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Asce throws a right hand that Johnson ducks under and follows up with a left that Johnson also avoids with ease. Asce takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Asce tries to close the distance and clinch up but Johnson swats him away and circles back towards the center. Despite the aggression on Johnson's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Johnson connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Asce slips a jab and a cross from Johnson.
Johnson throws the left hand but Asce avoids the punch easily. The fight stays on the outside here - Asce looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Tommy Johnson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Asce tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
And that's the end of the fight! Jo Asce showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Asce, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
