Simpson tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Simpson working some nice short punches in the clinch. Simpson lands an uppercut. DaSilva is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Simpson is keeping busy. Simpson pushes DaSilva back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Simpson lands a nice uppercut. Simpson lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Simpson lands a shoulder strike. DaSilva tries for a takedown. No joy.
We've been informed that Simpson has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. A short uppercut from Simpson. Simpson lands a nice uppercut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Simpson scores with a shot to the side of DaSilva's head. DaSilva is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Simpson screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

#R1# DaSilva moves away from the strike by Takeda. As Takeda looks to move away, DaSilva throws a big counter combo but Takeda just gets out of the way. DaSilva misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Takeda.

Takeda misses with a hook. DaSilva ducked under it nicely. It looked like DaSilva was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Takeda misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Takeda takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Takeda lands a nice shot that snaps DaSilva's head back.

and Takeda counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps DaSilva thinking. Takeda scores with a nice head shot. A left and a right from Takeda both land. Nice combination. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Takeda takes a jab right on the kisser.
#ROC# Takeda is rocked! DaSilva circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Takeda tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! DaSilva wins by KO!

Kidd keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of DaSilva's head. Kidd stands up over DaSilva, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Kidd postures up in DaSilva's guard and throws a big left but DaSilva blocks it. #SUB# DaSilva is looking for a triangle but Kidd pushes his legs off easily.
