NJMMA #6: MacGowan v Roddick
Date: Oct 21, 2017 |
#R1# Paddington changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Waters tries to avoid it but Paddington manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Waters to the ground. Waters escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. An attempted straight right counter from Waters misses the target. Paddington has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Waters is landing a low percentage of strikes.#TD2# Paddington shoots in and gets a takedown into Waters's guard. Paddington throwing strikes but missing. #SUB2# Paddington drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Paddington seems to have locked his on tight now - Waters screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Paddington, as he picks up the win!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). David Paddington!
