#R1# Goodman shoots in looking for a takedown. Ryan tries to sprawl out of it but Goodman keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ryan manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Ryan drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Goodman defends it well.#TD2# Goodman gets caught napping as Ryan dives in and scores a takedown. Goodman manages to retain guard.#ES# Goodman manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. Goodman goes for a takedown attempt but Ryan pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
#TD2# Ryan gets a takedown into half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ryan not landing any meaningful shots this time. Ryan has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.#T1# Goodman wants to improve his position but Ryan is controlling well.
Ryan is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Goodman tries to roll over but Ryan keeps him under control. Ryan content to control rather than advance. #T2# Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Ryan wants to advance to full mount but Goodman doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ryan slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Goodman. Ryan landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Ryan working the head and body with strikes. #ROC2# Goodman is rocked! Ground and pound from Ryan. Oh Goodman is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Ryan takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Ryan is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Goodman is hurt! He's hurt bad - Ryan fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Goodman from any more punishment! Congratulations to Ryan! Great finish!
