Rossi shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Oni pinned against the cage. Oni gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Oni doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Oni fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Rossi half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Oni keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.#CL2#
Oni drives through and clinches with Rossi against the cage.
Oni's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rossi tries for a takedown. No joy.

Oni has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Rossi regains guard immediately.

Rossi is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Oni pulls his head out easily.

Oni decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Oni bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Oni wants to pass to mount but Rossi is defending the position.
Oni uses his free foot to push down on Rossi's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Rossi.
Oni lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent. #T3#

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Rossi is trying desperately to improve position.

Oni looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Oni has control of Rossi's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Rossi regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Oni really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rossi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.#SU2#
Oni is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Rossi leaves Oni with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Rossi tries to score a power double leg takedown but Oni sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rossi somewhat.
Rossi takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Nice body kick there by Oni.

Oni tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Rossi defends well and Oni ends up having to push Rossi into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Stan Rossi is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Oni looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Rossi is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Oni remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. #SU2#
Oni stands up and beckons Rossi to his feet. #TD2#
Oni fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Rossi to the ground. Oni is now in Rossi's guard.

Rossi has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Oni should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Rossi has tightened it up now! Oni should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
