Coming up we have a lightweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Ryan Yoshijiri (ranked 7693 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jiahao Mu (ranked 8225 p4p, 0 weight class). Jiahao Mu is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of London, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Ryan Yoshijiri! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Jiahao Mu!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Felipe Paraventi and Leandro Rodrigues.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Mu pushes Yoshijiri up against the cage in a clinch.

Yoshijiri has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Mu uses from the top position.

Mu is fighting to break Yoshijiri's control of his arms but Yoshijiri is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Mu stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Yoshijiri swivels though and keeps the full guard.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Yoshijiri holds on and takes a little breather.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Yoshijiri has his foot on Mu's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mu works his way back into a safe position though.

Yoshijiri had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mu defends it easily.
Yoshijiri seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Mu got a little sloppy there for a moment and Yoshijiri has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mu has managed to get both his arms back between Yoshijiri's legs - danger averted.

Mu avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

If it seems like I'm not saying a lot, it's just because Yoshijiri is stinking the place up with his stalling.

As we have tied on points, we go to a tie breaker and Yoshijiri gets a bonus point for attempting more subs.

Mu has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Johnson is working away from the top position though.
Well, if Johnson is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
