Weroniecki stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sampson swivels though and keeps the full guard. Weroniecki wants to control from the top but Sampson keeps moving. Sampson wants to sweep here but Weroniecki controlling him for the moment. Weroniecki trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Sampson wants to sweep here but Weroniecki controlling him for the moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Weroniecki postures up.
Weroniecki is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Weroniecki changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sampson tries to avoid it but Weroniecki manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sampson to the ground. Sampson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Sampson throws a quick counter head kick but Weroniecki was just out of range.#CL2# Weroniecki has taken the fight to the clinch.

Sampson lands a couple of elbows. Sampson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Sampson is looking to work some ground and pound but Weroniecki has wrist control. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
