#R1##CL# Berger has taken the fight to the clinch.
Berger tries to stall but Shepard uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Berger drops down looking for an ankle pick but Shepard pulls his leg out and moves away.
#TD# A momentary lapse in concentration from Shepard enables Berger to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Shepard manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.#SUB2# Shepard working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Berger doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Berger manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. #SUB2# Berger wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Shepard's closed guard. He's half up but Shepard has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Shepard pivots and extends the arm, Berger falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Shepard! Well done that man!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Dylan Shepard!
