#R1# Aguilar fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Kanon checks it well. Aguilar tries to clinch up. Kanon looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Aguilar tries to clinch but fails miserably #KD2# and Kanon counters with a crisp right hand that drops Aguilar! Kanon lets Aguilar back up to his feet, looking for a finish!#CUT2# It looks like Omar Aguilar has been cut. Aguilar pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kanon throws a body shot but no joy. Kanon lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Aguilar falls backwards - clearly groggy! Kanon dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tim Kanon!

#R1# A punch combination from Kanon misses. Tim Kanon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Riggs circles away from the clinch attempt.
Riggs closes the distance and clinches up with Kanon, looking for a takedown. Riggs pushes Kanon against the cage but Kanon circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Riggs doesn't succeed with the takedown and Kanon counters with a right hand to the body. #CL2# Kanon moves into the clinch.#TD2# Kanon gets control of Riggs's arms and successfully pulls guard. Kanon will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Kanon looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kanon working a defensive guard here.
#SUB# Riggs thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. #T1# Riggs stopping the sweep attempt from Kanon. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Riggs accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Riggs stopping the sweep attempt from Kanon. Riggs really is a fat lump. Riggs shoots in looking for a takedown. Kanon tries to sprawl out of it but Riggs keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kanon manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wendell Riggs. That's going to take a lot out of him.#T2# A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Kanon is looking to clinch but Riggs is avoiding it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kanon would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. That could change in an instant of course if Riggs gets his way!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kanon wants to clinch. Tim Kanon is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.#T1##TD2# Kanon decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Kanon is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Wendell Riggs showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Riggs, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
