#R1# We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.#CL2# Tuffenufe clinches with his opponent.
Tuffenufe is working for takedown but Hatsumi is calmly controlling the position for now.#BC# Hatsumi breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Tuffenufe misses with an uppercut
letting Hatsumi counter with a right hand. #CL2# Tuffenufe has closed the distance and engaged Hatsumi in a clinch.

Tuffenufe fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. An attempted straight right counter from Hatsumi misses the target. Tuffenufe fails with the takedown and Hatsumi counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Masaaki Hatsumi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Richard Tuffenufe.#T1# Hatsumi uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Tuffenufe. Tuffenufe moves in looking to clinch but Hatsumi pushes him off. Tuffenufe throws an off balance right hand
and Hatsumi counters with a left to the body. Tuffenufe looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.#T2# A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Tuffenufe closes the distance but Hatsumi moves to the side and Hatsumi counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Tuffenufe darts in trying to clinch and Tuffenufe takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Tuffenufe throws a looping overhand right but Hatsumi ducks down to avoid it. It looked like Hatsumi wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.#T3# Tuffenufe wants to clinch up but Hatsumi keeps it at a distance. Hatsumi is looking to counter punch. Tuffenufe falls off balance throwing a combination
and Tuffenufe takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Tuffenufe shoots and misses enabling Hatsumi to counter with a crisp jab. Tuffenufe tries to clinch but Hatsumi moves out of range. Tuffenufe tries to grapple but his opponent circles letting Hatsumi counter with a right hand. #T4# Hatsumi stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hatsumi wants it to stay on the feet. Hatsumi appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Tuffenufe tries for a takedown but Hatsumi circles away easily enabling Hatsumi to counter with a crisp jab. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hatsumi moves out of range of the strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tuffenufe is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Hatsumi gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Hatsumi lands with a short head shot on the inside. Tuffenufe tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Hatsumi avoids it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hatsumi working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.#BC# Hatsumi breaks the clinch.
#TD2# Tuffenufe closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Hatsumi did well to prevent Tuffenufe getting side control. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hatsumi wants to control but Tuffenufe is keeping busy.
#T1# Tuffenufe is looking to advance position but Hatsumi won't allow it. Tuffenufe keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Tuffenufe trying to control the action but Hatsumi is working from the bottom. Hatsumi is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Tuffenufe can do to turn this around? Hatsumi won't allow Tuffenufe to pass to mount. Hatsumi is refusing to be controlled, as Tuffenufe sits in half guard. #SUB2# Tuffenufe is looking for a kimura but Hatsumi is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Tuffenufe to get the leverage. The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Tuffenufe not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Tuffenufe perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Tuffenufe prevents Hatsumi from improving his position. Tuffenufe seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Tuffenufe tries to pass the half guard into mount. Hatsumi knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. #T3# The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Tuffenufe wants to take a breather but Hatsumi is having none of it. #REF3# The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.#TD2# Tuffenufe bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Tuffenufe is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Hatsumi's shoulder. That is not cool. Hatsumi knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tuffenufe on the ground.#SUB2# Hatsumi is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Tuffenufe's leg. Oh but that's left an opportunity for Tuffenufe! He's got an arm triangle... it looks tight! He's rotating and Hatsumi has tapped! This one is allllll over!

Disa Pervart goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Disa Pervart throws a series of punches but Hatsumi moves out of range. Disa Pervart fails to land with a series of punches.
Hatsumi with a jab. Disa Pervart throws a series of punches but Hatsumi avoids them all with ease. Disa Pervart throws a body shot but no joy. Hatsumi lands with a good body shot. A shot to the body from Hatsumi misses and Disa Pervart counters with a straight right hand. This has been an exciting period of action!#CL2# Hatsumi has Disa Pervart up against the cage in a clinch.

Hatsumi lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Disa Pervart backwards. A short left from Hatsumi. Hatsumi lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. #ROC2# Disa Pervart is rocked! Hatsumi lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Oh Disa Pervart is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Hatsumi lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Hatsumi lands with a left to the head. Hatsumi lands a hook to the side of the head. Hatsumi creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Disa Pervart with a big uppercut! Disa Pervart tries to clinch up but Hatsumi pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Disa Pervart to the mat! Disa Pervart covers up and Hatsumi unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Masaaki Hatsumi! A relieved looking Masaaki Hatsumi thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

#R1# No luck with that takedown attempt from Dunher. #CL2# Dunher pushes Hatsumi up against the cage in a clinch. Dunher is looking to break free of the clinch but Hatsumi has double underhooks. Hatsumi misses with a hook to the ribs.
Dunher scores with a shoulder strike. Dunher tries to pull guard but Hatsumi forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Hatsumi doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
A right handed body shot lands from Hatsumi.
Dunher misses with a punch on the inside.

A short left from Hatsumi. Dunher is still on wobbly legs! Can Hatsumi finish him? Hatsumi throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Dunhers head. A left hand lands to the body for Hatsumi.
Hatsumi makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.#T2# Hatsumi lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Dunher to his knees! Hatsumi keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
