#R1# Orazev throws a nice outside leg kick. Orazev lands a nice leg kick that just misses Patterson's sensitive parts. Orazev is looking to slow Patterson down with leg kicks. Orazev fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Patterson. Orazev misses with a wild body shot. Patterson on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Orazev. Orazev obviously looking to wear him down.

Patterson sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Orazev connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Orazev looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Orazev throws a body kick, spinning off balance#TD2# and Patterson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Orazev is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Patterson dives into side control.

The referee will try and keep them active though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#SU2# Patterson stands up. Orazev throws a looping overhand right but Patterson ducks down to avoid it. Patterson's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. A chopping leg kick lands by Orazev. Horrible takedown attempt by Patterson or perhaps it was just good defense by Orazev, which made it look bad. Patterson avoids the body shot from Orazev.
#TD2# Patterson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Patterson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Orazev wants to get back to his feet but Patterson drags him back down. Patterson advances to mount. Patterson misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
#SUB2# Orazev has left one of his arms exposed and Patterson doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Orazev screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
