#R1# Habibi is looking to clinch. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Savage is defended easily by Habibi. Habibi throws a counter combo. No joy there for Savage, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Habibi's coach down at Cozad The Island was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Habibi's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Habibi shoots for a double leg takedown but Savage sprawls well. He's pushed Habibi's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. #CL# Savage gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Habibi has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Savage avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Savage gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Habibi.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Savage lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Habibi wants to improve his position but Savage is controlling well.

It looked like Martinez was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. The fight stays on the outside here - Habibi looks like he's thinking about clinching though.#CL# Martinez moves into the clinch. Habibi wants to stall.
#TD# Martinez has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Habibi uses from the top position. #SUB# Martinez looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
