Golata gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. #TD# Chan shoots in and gets a takedown into Golata's guard.#SU# Chan decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Golata, up you get! Golata is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Chan like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Chan from another fist facial!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Andrew Golata! A relieved looking Andrew Golata thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

#R1##CL2# Golata gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Rice is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Golata to keep the fight standing. Golata is trying to force a seperation but Rice has the dominant position. A short body shot lands from Golata as the two fighters clinch.
Golata is trying to stall.
Rice blocks a body shot from Golata. Golata misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Rice really is a fat lump. Rice will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Golata up against the cage. Golata wants to get back to striking at distance but Rice won't allow it.
#TD2# Golata has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Rice is trying to keep an underhook but Golata manages to get the takedown into half guard.#ES# Rice has one foot on Golata's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#CL2# Rice tries to keep at a distance but Golata has taken the fight into the clinch. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!#TD# Rice drags the fight down to the ground.
Golata chips away with some ground and pound. Rice seems keen to control Golata's posture.#T1# Golata is in close to Rice's body, working some short punches and elbows. Golata lands a couple of decent looking shots.#CUT2# It looks like Ike Rice has been cut.#SUB# Golata is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Rice has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Golata is looking to defend but Rice has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Golata! Rice pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Golata taps out and this one is all over!
