We've been informed that Reid has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Reid misses the jab. Boss moves out of range as Reid throws a body kick.
Reid throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Boss counters with a stiff right hand. A head kick by Reid misses #KD# and Boss counters with a crisp right hand that drops Reid! Boss lets Reid back up to his feet, looking for a finish!#ROC# Reid is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Boss cracks Reid with a brutal left hook that knocks him out cold! This one is over in a flash! Game over!

A relieved looking Like Boss thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it. #R1# Reid fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Saades buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Reid has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Saades moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Saades keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Reid misses with a combination
letting Saades counter with a right hand. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Saades.
Reid throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. A shot to the liver by Saades. Beautiful body shot. Reid drops his hands momentarily and Saades takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Saades scores with a jab to the head.

and Saades cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Reid takes a swing at Saades's ribcage but misses. Saades lands with a kick to the temple. Reid shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Saades cracks Reid with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Apollo Reid seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Saades uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Reid.

Reid fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Saades manages to avoid it. A counter left hand to the body from Saades misses its target. Reid stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Reid throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Reid takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Saades lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Reid throws a body kick that misses and Saades counters with a two punch combo. Reid misses with a head kick.
Reid punishes Saades's body with a nice straight punch. Saades has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Reid walks forward, straight into a front kick from Saades.#KD# Saades sends Reid crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Saades is motioning to the referee to let Reid up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet! Reid is still on wobbly legs! Can Saades finish him? As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Saades fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Reid looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Saades lets loose with a powerful body kick. Reid will feel that in the morning. Reid walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Reid limp body while Saades jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!

Reid takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Reid throws a predictable looking body shot
and Goldberg counters with a straight right hand. No joy there for Reid, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Goldberg scores with a one two! Reid had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. #KD# Goldberg drops Reid with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Reid looks back up at him and smiles so Goldberg waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
#ROC# Reid is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Goldberg fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Reid square on the jaw! Damn, Reid is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!

He must have been on the weights. Kilbach waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Reid. Jab, jab by Kilbach - just one landing. Reid does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Reid misses with a wild body shot. Asznee shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Reid counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Asznee tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Reid leaves Asznee with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. A counter left hand to the body from Reid misses its target. Asznee fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Reid avoids it really well and circles away. Apollo Reid has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Big Asznee. Asznee blocks a head kick by Reid.

We've been told by Reid's head coaches at Doherty's Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Diaz takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.#CL# Diaz gets tackled into the cage by Reid. Reid maintains the clinch. Reid lands an elbow that stopped Diaz in his tracks for a moment. #CUT# It looks like Mickey Diaz has been cut. Reid fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

#SUB2# Diaz is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Reid is aware though and is defending well.#SUB2# Diaz looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Reid lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.#REVR# Reid chips away with some ground and pound. Reid advances to half guard. Duquet trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Reid lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Duquet hang on?#CUT# It looks like Felix Duquet has been cut. Duquet is bucking up trying to escape but Reid cracks him with another couple of good strikes. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Reid cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
#CUT# That has opened up Felix Duquet's cut even more. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Reid raining down hammerfists from mount.#CUT# Felix Duquet's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

#R1# Ouch! a nice leg kick from Reid, right into the meat.
#TD# Excellent takedown into side control there by Reid. John looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Reid lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear John down.
Reid scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at John to see if he's OK. Reid in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Reid controlling from side mount. Check out the look on Reid's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
#T1# The referee asks Reid politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Reid prefers to stall for the moment though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Reid has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. John really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Reid. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Reid lands an elbow. Reid advances nicely into full mount. Reid controlling from mount. #T2# Reid postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. John looks a forlorn figure.

Reid ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bengala moves away. Reid wants to clinch. Bengala is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#CL# Reid darts in and clinches Bengala up against the cage. Reid unloads a knee to the mid-section. Bengala lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. #T1# Bengala tries to break free but Reid pushes him back against the cage. Reid is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head.
