Al Hammad tries to sprawl out of it but Winkle keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Al Hammad manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Winkle shoots and misses #TD# and Al Hammad decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Winkle's guard. Al Hammad lands a couple of elbows. Al Hammad stays in close to Winkle's body and controls the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Winkle tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. Ortaga is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Winkle takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Ortaga throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Winkle's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Ortaga dives in looking to finish as Winkle flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Ortaga's strikes! Ortaga is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Winkle's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Winkle was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
