Baird has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Landers is really squeezing tight and eventually Baird passes out! Landers breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Baird is defended easily by Ibragimov.
Ibragimov looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Baird looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ibragimov with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Baird throws a hook but Esh avoids it easily.
Baird could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Esh cracks Baird with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Baird tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Esh pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Baird is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Eric Esh!
Eric Esh got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
