Dirk tries to recover but Shashi is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Dirk lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

Dirk was covering up waiting for the punch and Willis finishes the takedown easily into guard. Willis slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. #R1# Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Newell, as that shot connected.
Dirk takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Dirk tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Newell was well out of range. Poor timing from Dirk. Newell takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Dirk is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Newell avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Dirk looks to land a right hand but Newell moved out of range. Newell lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Dirk on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Dirk throws a body punch but Newell moves out of range. A little jabbing left from Newell on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Dirk throws a poor cross that misses

and Newell makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Dirk seems to have got his legs back now. Jab, jab by Newell - just one landing. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Newell with a nice cross. Dirk walks into a jab. Newell connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Dirk tumbling to the canvas! Newell pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Dirk was done - good stoppage!

Tom Dirk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Williams fails with a takedown attempt. Dirk keeps the fight on the outside. Williams uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Dirk has time to react. Williams is looking to clinch but Dirk is avoiding it.

Kaufman motions for Dirk to come forward. Kaufman throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Kaufman fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Dirk tries a quick counter leg kick but Kaufman is wise to it. Kaufman slips under a jab. Dirk moves out of range of the strikes. Kaufman ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Kaufman blocks a head kick by Dirk.

Mcsparren will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Dirk pushing down on Mcsparren's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Dirk throwing strikes from guard but Shaw blocks nicely. Dirk keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Shaw's head. Dirk showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Dirk has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Dirk preventing the sweep. Shaw is trying to keep Dirk in close.
