#R1# Kitano lands a jab.#CUT# It looks like Mike Blankendaal has been cut. Mike Blankendaal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kitano scores with a sloppy right hand. Blankendaal should have avoided that one. The fighters circle momentarily. Blankendaal darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Blankendaal pushes Kitano away with a front kick. Kitano throws a hook but Blankendaal blocks it. Blankendaal throws a leg kick which misses Kitano's front leg but catches the back leg as Kitano tries to avoid it. Kitano misses with a hook. Blankendaal ducked under it nicely. Kitano shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Blankendaal lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Blankendaal staying out of range there. Kitano thuds his right hand into Blankendaal's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Blankendaal looks to throw a body kick and Kitano counters with a big right hand! Oh Blankendaal is in trouble here! Kitano follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
