Shupe clinches.
Shupe tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Fernande smiles and moves away.
Fernande tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Shupe defends well and Fernande ends up having to push Shupe into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Shupe looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.#CL2#
Shupe has Fernande up against the cage in a clinch.
Fernande tries for a takedown but Shupe manages to get underhooks.

Shupe turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Fernande is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Shupe asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Shupe throwing strikes but Fernande manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!#SUB#
Fernande has hold of Shupe's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Shupe seems comfortable defending it but Fernande has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Shupe is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Shupe is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Fernande couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Morris shoots in for a takedown but Fernande shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Lolitoz Fernande seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Morris closes this distance looking for a takedown but Fernande circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andrew Morris. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Morris dives in and grabs Fernande's left leg, looking for a takedown. Fernande pushes down on Morris's head and hops out.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
