We've been informed that Chambers has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Mills tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Chambers looks to land a left hand but Mills moved out of range nicely. Chambers shoots in but Mills avoids the takedown attempt easily. Chambers jabs at Mills's body. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Chambers takes a kick to the side of the head. Chambers lands a nice looking body shot.

A lazy body kick attempt from Vasquez. Nice cross by Mills. Vasquez goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Vasquez with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Vasquez throws a leg kick but Mills checks it. Vasquez ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mills moves away. Vasquez looks to land a combination. Mills sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Vasquez, right into the meat.

Mills has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Mills connects with a right hand. Sitsongrit shakes it off. Sitsongrit throws a hook to the side of Mills's head but Mills sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Sitsongrit tries to grapple but his opponent circles letting Mills counter with a right hand. Mills throws a lazy uppercut
and Sitsongrit counters with a lovely straight right hand! Mills throws a looping overhand right but Sitsongrit ducks down to avoid it. Sitsongrit takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Nice defenses there by Mills. Ithamar looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Ithamar tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mills sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ithamar somewhat. Mills getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Ithamar's coach down at Hands Factory ($750/Month) was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Ithamar's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Mills lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Ithamar shoots in but no luck this time. A quick step to the side and Mills tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Mills fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Beats on the side of the head. Mills works Beats's body with a nice hook. Beats takes one to the side of the head.
Beats dives in for a single leg takedown but Mills sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Mills.
Mills throws a nice inside leg kick. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A combination from Beats does no damage.
