#R1# We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.#CL# Vasquez takes the fight into the clinch. Vasquez managing to block the knees to the body from Spand.
Vasquez takes a shot to the head. Spand prevents Vasquez from breaking the clinch. A nice left hand lands by Vasquez.
Spand is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Vasquez is defending well for now. Vasquez has a couple of punches blocked by Spand.

#TD2# Spand gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Vasquez regains guard.
Vasquez has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Spand tries to stand but Vasquez is controlling from the bottom. #SUB# Spand avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

No luck so far. #T2# Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Vasquez is controlling Spand's posture. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Spand won't allow Vasquez to sweep him here. #REF3# The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Vasquez misses with a takedown and Spand counters with a stiff right hand. #T3##CL# Vasquez gets in close and instigates a clinch. Vasquez is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Vasquez tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Vasquez looking to throw knees to the head but Spand is blocking nicely.

Spand keeps control of Vasquez as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Spand tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Vasquez avoids it. Spand tries to land knees in the clinch but Vasquez avoids the damage to the body. Spand throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Vasquez blocks it with crossed arms. Vasquez managing to block the knees to the body from Spand.
#TD2# Spand has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Vasquez clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Spand is looking to control Vasquez but Vasquez is wriggling around and keeping busy. #T4##ES# Vasquez is trying to get back to his feet. He's worked up on to his knees and now he's on his feet with his head on the canvas, trying to shake Spand off. It looks like it's working - Spand slides off, much to his dismay, and we're back to standing! Vasquez displaying calm under pressure there. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Vasquez has a takedown stuffed. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Vasquez is trying hard to land a takedown here. Spand sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Royal Vasquez is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Vasquez misses with a takedown and Spand counters with a three punch combo that has Vasquez backing up. Vasquez nods at Spand to acknowledge the strikes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Spand displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Vasquez. #T1##TD# Vasquez shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Spand's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Vasquez wants to stand and escape but instead Spand has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. #REVB# Vasquez might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Spand controlling from the top position. Vasquez has control of Spand's left arm, preventing Spand from doing any damage. #T2# Spand trying to control the position from guard on top but Vasquez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Skralde Spand has got the better of the ground game so far. Vasquez controlling the position. Spand content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Vasquez tries to land a sweep but no joy. #T3##SUB# Vasquez is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. #SUB# Vasquez throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.#T4# Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.#TD# Vasquez shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Spand is trying to keep Vasquez in close.
Spand is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Spand working a defensive guard here.

That was a close second round but I would say that Royal Vasquez will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round! #R3# No luck for Vasquez with that takedown attempt. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Vasquez tries for a takedown but Spand circles away easily and Spand counters with a flying knee. Nice. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Vasquez misses with a takedown and Spand counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Royal Vasquez. That's going to take a lot out of him.#T1# Vasquez shoots and misses and Spand makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Both fighters are breathing heavily.#CL# Vasquez has closed the distance and engaged Spand in a clinch.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Spand. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Spand missing with knees to the body.

Vasquez is trying to break the clinch but Spand has him pressed against the cage. Spand pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. A frustrated look appears on Vasquez's face as he tries to break the clinch. Spand scores with a hook to the body. Skralde Spand seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Vasquez managing to block the knees to the body from Spand.

#T3# With the two fighters working up against the cage, Spand just misses with a elbow thrown towards Vasquez's brow. #TD2# Spand works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Spand must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Vasquez keeping moving, preventing Spand from controlling successfully. Vasquez controlling Spand's posture. Spand tries to stand but Vasquez is controlling from the bottom. #SUB# Vasquez is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Spand rolls with it to try and escape but Vasquez cranks on the arm and Spand is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
