#R1##CL2# Benton fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Santana, pushing him back against the cage. Santana has Benton pressed against the cage, preventing Benton from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Santana is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Benton is defending well for now. Benton tries to land knees in the clinch but Santana avoids the damage to the body. #TD2# Benton turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Benton manages to end up in side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#SUB2# Benton thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Benton throws an elbow but Santana slips to the side and avoids it well. Benton creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Santana sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Santana looks to move to half guard but instead Benton has passed into mount! Damn!#SUB2# Benton wants to finish this one by submission but Santana is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Benton. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Benton thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Benton controlling from the full mount. #T1# Santana knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Benton on the ground. Santana wants to hold on but Benton pushes him away. Santana is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Benton is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Benton throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Santana because Benton loaded up on that one. Benton thowing shots but they're missing. Benton tries to control but Santana wriggling away. Poor strikes thrown by Benton there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

A telegraphed right hand from Chase misses the target. Santana wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Pancho Chase seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Chase fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Chase looks to throw the jab but Santana is out of range. Santana ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. An attempted straight right counter from Santana misses the target. Santana tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Chase manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.#CL# Santana has Chase up against the cage in a clinch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Santana misses with a body punch.

Santana takes a shot to the head. Chase blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Chase is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Chase lands a body punch. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Chase creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Shelley remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Santana tries to improve position but can't. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Santana can't do much from the bottom here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Santana gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. #T1# Still in half guard, Shelley seems content to control. It looked like Santana was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. A punch combination from Solberg misses. An attempted straight right counter from Santana misses the target. Solberg misses with a two punch combination.
Santana slips a jab from Solberg. Solberg throws the left hand but Santana avoids the punch easily. The fighters circling - Solberg throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Santana is looking to counter punch. Solberg swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
#TD# and Santana counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Solberg! #SU# Santana decides to stand back up. Santana steps back and let's Solberg get back to his feet. Solberg misses with a jab, cross combination.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Aaa Aaa! Aaa Aaa decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
