#R1# Abruzzase misses with an uppercut. McGregor throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. A left lands for McGregor. McGregor lands a head kick!
#CUT# It looks like Rocco Abruzzase has been cut. McGregor lands with a nice body kick. Abruzzase takes one on the button. Abruzzase needs to keep his hands up - McGregor had a free shot at his head there. A slapping body kick lands there for McGregor. McGregor moves out of range of the strikes. Abruzzase misses with a hook. McGregor connects with a body shot. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! McGregor connects with an inside leg kick. McGregor moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
We've been told by McGregor's head coaches at The Zoo that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Nice body punch from McGregor. McGregor throws a nice head kick!
McGregor lunges at Abruzzase with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Abruzzase's hand. #T1# McGregor throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Abruzzase. McGregor throws a head kick but Abruzzase moves out of range.
McGregor displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. McGregor tries to bum rush Abruzzase with a series of wild strikes but Abruzzase uses good footwork to avoid the assault. McGregor cracks Abruzzase with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.#CUT# That has opened up Rocco Abruzzase's cut even more. McGregor misses with a wild combination.
McGregor lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. McGregor scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! McGregor lands a nice hook to Abruzzase's body. Abruzzase takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Conor McGregor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. McGregor fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Abruzzase throws a shot from downtown. McGregor moves away and avoids it. Abruzzase shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Abruzzase looks winded! McGregor throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Abruzzase's head.#T2# McGregor wants to clinch. McGregor tries a head kick but it misses.
It seemed like Abruzzase was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. McGregor works Abruzzase's body with a nice hook. McGregor clobbers Abruzzase with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. McGregor throws a series of punches but Abruzzase moves out of range. McGregor thuds his right hand into Abruzzase's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Abruzzase drops his hands momentarily and McGregor takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. McGregor takes one on the button. Abruzzase waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract McGregor. McGregor is looking to counter punch. McGregor lands a head kick. Abruzzase smiles back at him and beckons him forward. McGregor lands a nice shot that snaps Abruzzase's head back.
Abruzzase moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.#T3# Abruzzase cracks McGregor with a good jab. McGregor throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. McGregor goes for a high kick. It partially lands.#ROC# Abruzzase is rocked! McGregor lands a slapping body shot.
The fight stays on the outside here - McGregor looks like he's thinking about clinching though. McGregor connects with a jab.#CUT# The cut above Rocco Abruzzase's eye is starting to cause him problems now. McGregor digs a good hook to Abruzzase's body.
McGregor looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. McGregor wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. McGregor will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
We've been informed that Abruzzase has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.#CL# McGregor clinches. #T4# We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!#TD# McGregor decides to pull guard. #ES# McGregor is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Abruzzase presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. #BC2# Abruzzase breaks the clinch.
McGregor fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Abruzzase looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. McGregor throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Abruzzase closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. McGregor lands a front kick. McGregor throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Abruzzase. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Abruzzase! But no joy. McGregor goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Abruzzase takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Abruzzase shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. #CL# McGregor closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. #BC# McGregor breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
McGregor throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Conor McGregor dominated that round. The cut man is working on Rocco Abruzzase's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. #R2# McGregor lands with a straight right. Abruzzase didn't see that one coming. Abruzzase throws an uppercut from half a mile away. McGregor sees it coming and avoids it easily. McGregor delivers a nice body kick. McGregor's jab looks to have found its range, popping Abruzzase under the eye. McGregor is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Abruzzase can do to turn this around? McGregor lands a front kick. McGregor keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Abruzzase. Donk. Abruzzase catches McGregor right on the button with a cross. Abruzzase lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

McGregor scores with a crisp jab that stopped Abruzzase in his tracks. McGregor's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and McGregor duly obliges. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. McGregor scores with a jab to the jaw. McGregor fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Abruzzase has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Abruzzase misses with a looping left. Abruzzase is breathing heavily. McGregor throws out a powerful jab.#T1# McGregor lands a body shot.
McGregor lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. McGregor tries to clinch there but Abruzzase circles away.
McGregor pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Abruzzase back to the cage. McGregor follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Abruzzase is still on wobbly legs! Can McGregor finish him?#KD# McGregor lands a big head kick that sends Abruzzase tumbling to the mat! McGregor takes a step backwards and waves Abruzzase back to his feet - he wants the finish! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! McGregor throws an uppercut from hell that sends Abruzzase clean off his feet! He's out cold! McGregor stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.

#R1##TD2# Curtain closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. #SUB2# Curtain thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. #SUB2# Curtain tries for a kimura but Abruzzase is defending well. #SUB2# Curtain working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Curtain working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
#CUT2# It looks like Rocco Abruzzase has been cut.#SUB2# Curtain looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Curtain misses with an attempted head punch from side control. #T1##SUB2# Curtain tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Abruzzase can't do much from the bottom here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#SUB2# Curtain is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Abruzzase knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Curtain is looking to take a break and control but Abruzzase is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. #T2##SUB2# Curtain has hold of Abruzzase's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Abruzzase seems comfortable defending it but Curtain has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Abruzzase is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Abruzzase is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Curtain couldn't care less - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Annette Curtain! A very excited looking Annette Curtain made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
