Montoya tries to score a body lock takedown but Stalin shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Joe Stalin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Montoya.#TD#
Stalin has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Montoya regains guard immediately.

Montoya tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Stalin cranks the arm and Montoya screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Montoya, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Joe Stalin!
A determined Joe Stalin didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!

Horrible takedown attempt by Montoya or perhaps it was just good defense by Randolph, which made it look bad.

A less than humble Mark Montoya misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
