#R1##TD# Bishop gets the takedown into side control. Bishop knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Johnson on the ground. Bishop cracks Johnson with a big right hand but Johnson just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Bishop connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Johnson some visible discomfort.
Bishop lands an elbow. Bishop scores with a couple of short elbows. Bishop in side control lands a decent elbow. Bishop wants to control but Johnson is keeping him busy. Bishop scores with a couple of short elbows. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Bishop cracks Johnson with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Bishop immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Johnson is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Bishop!

Despite the aggression on Johnson's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.#CL2# Johnson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Carboza is pressed up against the cage. Johnson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Carboza down to the mat. Carboza avoids the attempt though and has circled away. #R1# No luck for Johnson with that takedown attempt. An attempted straight right counter from Newman misses the target. Johnson fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Johnson fails with the takedown letting Newman counter with a right hand. Darnell Newman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ray Johnson. Newman has a takedown stuffed. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#TD2# Johnson fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Newman to the ground. Johnson is now in Newman's guard. Johnson controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. #T1# Johnson tries to stand but Newman is controlling from the bottom. Newman will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Newman seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. #SUB# Newman working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Johnson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Johnson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Newman uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Johnson. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Johnson is defended easily by Newman. Newman throwing a counter right hand but Johnson manages to avoid it.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Darnell Newman. I think Johnson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
