Paul throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Paul shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Rutledge but Rutledge pushes him off and we're back to square one. Paul shoots in looking for a takedown. Rutledge tries to sprawl out of it but Paul keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rutledge manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. #CL# Rutledge rushes Paul and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.#T3##TD# Rutledge has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Paul clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Paul turns into Rutledge and is now in his guard.
Rutledge will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Rutledge is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Rutledge wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Rutledge looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
