#R1# Shaw fails with the takedown. Shaw walks into a stiff left hand from Barnaby. Barnaby scores with a nice right hand.

Barnaby definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Shaw changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Barnaby tries to avoid it but Shaw manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Barnaby to the ground. Barnaby escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. #CL# Barnaby pushes Shaw up against the cage in a clinch. Shaw tries to pull guard but Barnaby won't allow it.
Cornelius Barnaby has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Shaw. Barnaby will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Shaw up against the cage. Barnaby scores with a shoulder strike. Shaw fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Shaw tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Barnaby smiles and moves away.
Shaw on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Barnaby lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Shaw at a distance.
Shaw looks winded! Barnaby fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Shaw fails with the takedown and Barnaby counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Shaw off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Barnaby follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Shaw was out before he hit the floor.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Cornelius Barnaby! A very excited looking Cornelius Barnaby made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.

My spies in Spar Bros inform me that Shaw has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!#SUB2# Shaw is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Roberts to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Roberts shrugs it off. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shaw throwing strikes but Roberts bucks up and reverses the position. He's now in guard on top. Shaw shoots for a takedown but Reid saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Reid throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shaw stuffs the takedown attempt from Reid. Reid gets slowly back to his feet. Shaw wants to counter with a clinch but Reid pushes him away. Reid fails to land the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Geraldo Reid. That's going to take a lot out of him.#T1# Reid tries to work over Shaw's front leg with a kick but Shaw checks it.
