Kanon closes this distance looking for a takedown but Dillashaw circles away. Kanon misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kanon misses the shot to the body. Dillashaw tests Kanon's chin there with a solid looking shot.#CL# Kanon has Dillashaw up against the cage in a clinch.
Dillashaw lands a body shot in the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#BC2# Dillashaw breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Dillashaw fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Kanon takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
This has been an exciting period of action! Kanon takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.#T1##TD# A momentary lapse in concentration from Dillashaw enables Kanon to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Dillashaw manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Kanon postures up.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Dillashaw can do anything to dispel that myth. Kanon's corner is telling him to maintain position. Kanon stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dillashaw swivels though and keeps the full guard. Kanon is pushing down on Dillashaw's leg trying to pass to half guard. Dillashaw is fighting to maintain full guard but Kanon has managed to sneak the leg through. Kanon content to control rather than advance. #T2##SU# Kanon stands up from half guard. #CL# Kanon closes the distance and clinches. Kanon jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Dillashaw walks away with a smile on his face. Kanon gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Kanon takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. A jab lands there for Dillashaw. Dominick Dillashaw is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Dillashaw blocks a head kick by Kanon.
Dillashaw cracks Kanon with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A shot to the liver by Kanon. Beautiful body shot. Dillashaw connects with a looping right hand.
#T3# Dillashaw scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Kanon doesn't seem bothered though. Dillashaw digs a good body shot into Kanon's ribs. Dillashaw scores with a nice head shot. A decent looking cross lands there for Dillashaw. Kanon gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Kanon gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Dillashaw counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kent Kanon. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kanon is breathing heavily. Kanon tries for a takedown but Dillashaw circles away easily letting Dillashaw counter with a right hand. #ROC2# Kanon is rocked! Dillashaw bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Kanon's head backwards. Oh Kanon is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Kanon looks to clinch and Dillashaw counters with a lovely shot to the body. Kanon seems to have got his legs back now. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Dillashaw connects with a jab.#T4# Kanon misses with a takedown letting Dillashaw counter with a right hand. Kanon takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Kanon tries to clinch and Dillashaw counters with a right hand to the body. Kent Kanon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dillashaw bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Danga de danga de dang - Dillashaw scores with a four punch combination! Dillashaw works Kanon's body with a nice hook. BOOM! Dillashaw lands a beautiful left hook that drops Kanon. Kanon tries to recover but Dillashaw is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Kanon lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
