#R1##TD2# Stanley gets caught napping as Web dives in and scores a takedown. Stanley manages to retain guard. Web being controlled here momentarily. Stanley knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Web on the ground. Stanley keeping full guard, as Web tries to pass. Web trying to control the position from guard on top but Stanley is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Web throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Web trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Stanley keeping full guard, as Web tries to pass. Stanley trying to keep a closed guard but Web is proving a slippery customer.
#T1# Web wanted to stand there but Stanley had control of the position. #REF3# The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.#TD2# Web shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Web was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Web is staying tight to Stanley's torso, preventing him from escaping. Web moves into full mount! Stanley tries to hold on but Web postures up. Stanley can't escape the position.
#T2# Stanley blocking the ground and pound. Web content just to control the position here. It looks like Web might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Poor strikes thrown by Web there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Stanley is looking to improve his position but Web isn't that keen on the idea. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Stanley is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
#T3# Web looking to control and managing it successfully. Web landing strikes, looking to finish! Web sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Web putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Poor strikes thrown by Web there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Web landing punches. #ROC2# Stanley is rocked! Web cracks Stanley with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!

#R1##TD2# Valerdi looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Stanley! Valerdi scores with punches from side control. #ROC2# Stanley is rocked!#CUT2# It looks like Clark Stanley has been cut. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Stanley can't do much from the bottom here. Oh Stanley is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!#SUB2# Valerdi in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Stanley is tapping! That's the end of the fight!

#R1##TD2# Shields shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Stanley's guard.#SUB2# Shields is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Stanley is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Stanley has escaped and now he's on top! #REVR# Shields utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. #SUB2# Shields working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Stanley doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Stanley manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Stanley throwing strikes from guard but Shields blocks nicely. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB2# Stanley stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Shields has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Stanley manages to get his head free but now Shields has transitioned to an armbar! Stanley grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Shields! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
