Sakuni unleashes a big counter combination but Messi bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Messi throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Messi works over Sakuni's head and body with a nice combination. Messi misses with a wild combination.

Sakuni is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Messi cracks a nice hook into Sakuni's ribs. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Messi misses with a two punch combination.
Sloppy strikes from Messi. Those never looked like landing. Messi throws a series of punches but Sakuni avoids them all with ease. Messi avoids the head kick by Sakuni.

Messi connects with a good right hand that stumbles Sakuni. Sakuni circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Barrios Messi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Messi throws a series of punches but Sakuni moves out of range. Messi swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Decent striking displayed by Messi there. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Messi scores with a jab to the body. A jab from Messi does it's job there. Sakuni is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Messi. Messi misses with the combination.

Sakuni tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Messi takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Sakuni on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Messi looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.#T3# Sakuni takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. A punch combination from Messi misses. Messi tries to bum rush Sakuni with a series of wild strikes but Sakuni uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Messi avoids the head kick by Sakuni.
It looked like Messi was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Sakuni. Messi throws a series of strikes that have Sakuni backpedaling.
Messi lands a jab-cross combination. #ROC# Sakuni is rocked! Messi lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Sakuni is looking to close the distance but Messi sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Sakuni crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Sakuni is OK because that was naaaaaasty!

#R1# Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Kakka.
Sakuni throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Kakka connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Sakuni momentarily.
Sakuni lands with a cross. Sakuni takes a body punch but keeps moving. Kakka throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
#CUT# It looks like Ryo Sakuni has been cut. A solid leg kick lands there for Kakka.
Sakuni throws a sloppy head kick and Kakka moves out of range easily. Sakuni pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kakka uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Niudu Kakka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kakka connects with a nice looking jab.
#ROC# Sakuni is rocked!#TD# Kakka closes the distance looking for a takedown. Sakuni stuffs it but Kakka still has hold of him. Kakka picks Sakuni up in a fireman's lift! The crowd roars in approval. Kakka slams Sakuni to the floor and that's really hurt Sakuni - he doesn't know where he is! Kakka throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!
