We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Borisovich can do anything to dispel that myth. Carrillo is fighting to break Borisovich's control of his arms but Borisovich is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Borisovich is trying to keep Carrillo in close.
#SUB2# Carrillo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Borisovich has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Carrillo has managed to get both his arms back between Borisovich's legs - danger averted. Carrillo preventing the sweep. Borisovich is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Carrillo is looking to work some ground and pound but Borisovich has wrist control. Carrillo throwing strikes but missing. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Borisovich holds on and takes a little breather. #T1# Borisovich has momentary wrist control but Carrillo slips an elbow through the middle. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Borisovich seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Carrillo does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. #T4# The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Carrillo is positioning himself well to prevent Borisovich advancing to mount. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.#SUB2# Borisovich is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Borisovich lands a nice short elbow. Borisovich is trying to control. Borisovich lands with a punch from half guard. Carrillo moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Carrillo might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Borisovich works a leg free and moves into half guard. Carrillo manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Carrillo is looking to stand back up but Borisovich counters by passing into half guard. Borisovich is trying to control the position but Carrillo postures up. Borisovich is breathing heavily. Carrillo lands a couple of digs. Borisovich has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Carrillo has passed into side control.

Borisovich tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Carrillo wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Carrillo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Borisovich seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Carrillo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Borisovich tries to free his leg and advance position but Carrillo is retaining full guard. Carrillo is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Borisovich throws a body punch but Carrillo moves out of range. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Carrillo fails with an attempt to clinch.
#TD2# Borisovich decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
