#R1# Vasconcellos fails with the takedown. The Cooly swinging wildly here.
Vasconcellos tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. #TD2# Vasconcellos gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Vasconcellos is trying to control the position but The Cooly postures up. Vasconcellos working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from The Cooly. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The Cooly slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. The Cooly stands up over Vasconcellos, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. The Cooly has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.#T1# The Cooly controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. The Cooly makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.#SU2# The Cooly stands up and waves to Vasconcellos to follow him. #CL2# The Cooly darts in and clinches Vasconcellos up against the cage.#T2# The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.#BC2# The Cooly breaks the clinch.

The Cooly seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Vasconcellos wants to pass the guard but The Cooly is keeping the position. The Cooly manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Vasconcellos manages to get himself to full guard.
#REVB# The Cooly controls the pace of the fight for a moment.#T3# Let's hope that The Cooly has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Vasconcellos striking off his back but it's not causing The Cooly any problems. The Cooly scoring with some ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The Cooly slips nicely into half guard. The Cooly works his way into side control. #T4# The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Vasconcellos trying to remain calm as The Cooly controls from the top position. The Cooly cracks Vasconcellos with a big elbow. Vasconcellos tries to improve position but can't. The Cooly moves into full mount! Vasconcellos tries to reverse the position but The Cooly maintains control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! The Cooly takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. #R2##TD2# Vasconcellos gets caught napping as The Cooly dives in and scores a takedown. Vasconcellos manages to retain guard. The Cooly sitting in guard, not really doing much. Vasconcellos looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The Cooly has been the more effective fighter overall so far.#T1##SUB# Vasconcellos is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and The Cooly defends well. Vasconcellos knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for The Cooly on the ground. The Cooly's corner is telling him to maintain position. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.#SUB2# The Cooly drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Vasconcellos dives on top into guard.#REVR# The Cooly thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Vasconcellos wants to stand and escape but instead The Cooly has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. #REVB##T2# The Cooly scoring with some ground and pound. Vasconcellos looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The Cooly's corner is telling him to maintain position. The Cooly lands a couple of elbows. The Cooly lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.#T3# Vasconcellos working a defensive guard but The Cooly manages to pass into side control anyway.
Vasconcellos looks to move to half guard but instead The Cooly has passed into mount! Damn! The Cooly working away from the top, dropping strikes. The Cooly is in the full mount, landing strikes. The Cooly dominating with strikes here. The Cooly manages to capitalize on a mistake by Vasconcellos to take his back! The Cooly biding his time, looking for the opening.
The Cooly is continuing to stall.#T4##SUB2# The Cooly is working for a rear naked choke. Vasconcellos is not defending it well and The Cooly has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Vasconcellos refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Vasconcellos's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
