Danger lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Nice shot lands for Danger. We've been told by Danger's head coaches at MMA Dojo that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Danger connects with a nice looking jab.
Danger's corner calls for a 1-2. Danger obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Danger stuns Springfield with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Springfield on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Danger lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Danger slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Carlos Danger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Danger lands a jab to the nose. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Danger thuds his right hand into Springfield's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Danger is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Springfield on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Danger lands a lovely overhand right. A slow jab from Danger misses its intended target. Springfield takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Donk. Danger catches Springfield right on the button with a cross. Springfield tries for a takedown but Danger sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.#T1# Danger cracks Springfield with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.#ROC# Springfield is rocked! Danger works the jab nicely. Springfield is still on wobbly legs! Can Danger finish him? Springfield gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Danger cracks Springfield on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Springfield falls backwards against the cage. Danger follows up with more strikes that drop Springfield to his knees. Danger keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Springfield! This one is all over!

#R1# Patryk closes the distance and clinches up with Springfield, looking for a takedown. Patryk pushes Springfield against the cage but Springfield circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.#CL2# Patryk closes the distance and clinches. #BC2# Patryk breaks from the clinch.
#TD# Springfield bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Patryk avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Springfield. Springfield wants to control but Patryk is keeping him busy. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Springfield just content to control the position. Patryk really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Springfield. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Springfield creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Patryk sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Springfield wants to control but Patryk is keeping him busy. Patryk felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.#T1# Springfield throws an elbow but Patryk slips to the side and avoids it well. Patryk wants to control but Springfield postures up. Patryk avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Springfield. Springfield taking a breather here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#T2# The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.#REF3# The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Patryk tries to close the distance and clinch but Springfield swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. #TD2# Patryk closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Springfield wants to get back to his feet but Patryk drags him back down. Patryk is trying to ground and pound but Springfield uses the momentary lack of control by Patryk to regain half guard. #T3# Patryk is looking to take a break and control but Springfield is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Patryk stalling away here and it's allowed Springfield to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Springfield looking for a sweep. Not yet Springfield, not yet. Springfield trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Patryk controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. #SUB# Springfield had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Patryk defends it easily.#T4# Springfield trying to control the position.

As Patryk looks to move away, Springfield throws a big counter combo but Patryk just gets out of the way. Patryk keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Springfield shoots and misses #CL2# and Patryk counters by moving into the clinch. A right hook to the body lands for Patryk.

Springfield bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Patryk's guard. #REVR# Springfield in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Patryk keeping moving, preventing Springfield from controlling successfully. Lukasz Patryk showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round! #R3# No luck for Springfield with that takedown attempt. Patryk throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Patryk lands with a slapping head kick. Springfield circles away from the clinch attempt.

Springfield is just content to waste time from the top position. Patryk takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily.#T2# Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Springfield postures up.

#T4# My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Springfield manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Patryk manages to get himself to full guard.
#REVR# Springfield's corner is telling him to maintain position. Patryk is trying to control the position but Springfield postures up. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Springfield sitting in guard, not really doing much. Patryk keeping moving, preventing Springfield from controlling successfully. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Bayley Springfield. I think Springfield has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

and Springfield counters with a left and a right that stings Yokohama. Yokohama lands a jab-cross combination. Yokohama lands a glancing blow to the side of Springfield's head. Springfield throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Yokohama's waist but Yokohama gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Springfield off to one side. Yokohama scores with a hook. Springfield misses with a looping left. Springfield shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Yokohama but Yokohama pushes him off and we're back to square one. Saito Yokohama has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bayley Springfield. Yokohama avoids the head kick by Springfield.

Despite the aggression on Springfield's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Springfield moves in looking to clinch but Shields pushes him off. Shields tries to counter by clinching up but Springfield breaks away and moves out of range. Bayley Springfield seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Springfield tries a head kick but it misses.
Shields dives in and grabs Springfield's left leg, looking for a takedown. Springfield pushes down on Shields's head and hops out. Shields could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. A decent looking cross lands there for Springfield.#CUT2# It looks like Omar Shields has been cut.#TD2# Springfield scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Springfield remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
