Vasile throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Trujillo's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Vasile dives in looking to finish as Trujillo flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Vasile's strikes! Vasile is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Trujillo's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Trujillo was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Vasile connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Nelson covering up! Vasile comes in with a big uppercut and Nelson goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mike Massey.
Well Massey has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
