Ion throws a push kick but Stout slaps the foot to one side.
Stout tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ion paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Ion doesn't manage to clinch there - Stout circles away.
Ion shoots for a takedown but Stout saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Ion will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Stout appears to be looking for a big counter.
Ion fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

We've been hearing good reports from Ion's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
