Still in the clinch, Slide scores with a nice short uppercut.
Nakwana takes a shot to the head.
Slide lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Slide prevents the takedown attempt.
Nakwana tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Slide just stands there and leans against the cage.
Nakwana takes a shot to the head.
Slide lands a nice uppercut.
Slide lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Slide digs a right hand underneath Nakwana's ribcage. Nakwana let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Slide lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Slide lands a right hand.
A short body shot lands from Slide as the two fighters clinch.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Slide.
Nakwana tries for a takedown but Slide manages to get underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kojiro Nakwana. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Slide lands a hook that snaps the head of Nakwana backwards. #T1#
Nakwana jumps guard but Slide stands there with Nakwana around his waist. Nakwana gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Slide creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. #ROC2#
Nakwana is rocked!
Slide lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Nakwana to his knees! Slide keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!

Nakwana tries to keep at a distance but Diaz has taken the fight into the clinch.#TD#
Diaz has Nakwana pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Diaz pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Nakwana tumbling to the mat - Diaz dives into Nakwana's guard.
Diaz is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Nakwana controls Diaz momentarily but Diaz frees himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#T1#
Diaz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nakwana swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Nakwana has his hands on Diaz's head, controlling the position. #REF3#
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.#TD#
Diaz closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Nakwana to the mat! Nakwana manages to get full guard.
Diaz wants to control from the top but Nakwana keeps moving. #T2#
Nakwana pulls Diaz in close to prevent any damage.
Nakwana wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Diaz is now in half guard.
Diaz tries to pass the half guard into mount. Nakwana knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Nakwana tries to get to full guard but Diaz has control of the leg.

Diaz seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Nakwana for as long as he can get away with.

Diaz really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Nakwana is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Nakwana is looking to take a break and control but Diaz is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Nakwana is looking to cinch up a triangle. Diaz throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Nakwana's body to avoid the submission. Nakwana has instead reached around Diaz's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Nakwana arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
