Bentley wants to clinch but Roach slips to the side and Roach counters with a lovely straight right hand! #R1# Donk. Smith Jr catches Bentley right on the button with a cross.#CUT# It looks like Luke Bentley has been cut. Smith Jr dances in with a quick combination. Bentley is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Smith Jr snaps Bentley's head back. Bentley stumbles backwards against the cage. Smith Jr steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Bentley's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Bentley just didn't come prepared.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Corey Smith Jr! After the fight, Corey Smith Jr was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
