Jose De La Cus rushes to a neutral corner so the count doesn't get delayed but Kazuraba has made it back to his feet on 5. He's OK so we're back to the action.#ROC# Kazuraba is rocked! Kazuraba misses with a double jab
and Jose De La Cus counters with a right hand from hell and Kazuraba is out cold! A vicious knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Carter Jose De La Cus! A less than humble Carter Jose De La Cus misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.

#R1# Stalin throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Stalin swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kazuraba is looking to clinch. Kazuraba takes one to the chin there. Kazuraba has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Stalin connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.#CL2# Kazuraba has managed to clinch.
Kazuraba is looking to control Stalin's arms but Stalin gets an underhook and turns him. Now Kazuraba has his back to the ropes. Stalin has had enough of the clinch but Kazuraba keeps him there for the moment. Kazuraba's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Kazuraba tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Stalin's elbow. Kazuraba misses with a body punch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stalin tries to circle away but Kazuraba has him pinned against the ropes. Kazuraba can't find room to land a body shot as Stalin controls the action.
Kazuraba lands a left hand that snaps the head of Stalin backwards. Kazuraba will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Stalin up against the ropes. Stalin definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Kazuraba softening up his opponent with strikes, against the ropes.#T1# Stalin wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Kazuraba working some nice short punches in the clinch. Stalin wants to break free but Kazuraba has control.

Kazuraba keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Stalin's efforts to push away. Kazuraba dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the ropes. Stalin has had enough of the clinch but Kazuraba keeps him there for the moment. Kazuraba scores with a shoulder strike. Kazuraba swings wildly with an uppercut but Stalin uses good head movement to avoid it. Kazuraba struggles to land a body shot inside as Stalin controls his hands.

Stalin throws a jab when Kazuraba was well out of range. Kazuraba displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Stalin throws out the jab. Kazuraba avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Oh Stalin is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! A frustrated look appears on Stalin's face as he tries to break the clinch. Kazuraba lands a left hand that snaps the head of Stalin backwards. Kazuraba creates a bit of space for himself and unleashed what can only be described as a tiger uppercut, straight out of Street Fighter! Stalin crashes to the mat! Can he make it back to his feet in time? 3,4,5,6... it doesn't look like he's going to make it! Stalin face plants back to the mat and the referee calls off the fight! Kazuraba takes it with a brutal technical knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Kazushi Kazuraba! After winning the bout, Kazushi Kazuraba thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility. Joe Stalin spoke after the fight, saying 'Pfttt... Pig Dog'.

#R1# Stalin fails with a takedown attempt. Kazuraba fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Stalin is looking for a counter combo.#TD# Stalin decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Kazuraba wants to control but Stalin is keeping busy.
Kazuraba is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Kazuraba really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Stalin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Stalin wants to get back to his feet.

Kazuraba is looking to get to half guard. Kazuraba tries to lock up and control but Stalin gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Kazuraba is wriggling around trying to escape.
Kazuraba wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Stalin is hanging on to Kazuraba's back as he tries to escape.

#R1##TD2# Kazuraba closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. #ES# Kovarov throws Kazuraba to one side and escapes! Kazuraba misses with a takedown attempt - Kovarov sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Kazuraba on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Kazuraba is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kovarov sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Kazushi Kazuraba seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.#CL# The fight moves into the clinch position. This has been an exciting period of action! Kazuraba is looking for a takedown up against the ropes. Kovarov gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Leo Kovarov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kazushi Kazuraba. Kazuraba has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Kovarov avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.#BC# Kovarov's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Good exchange - Kovarov coming out on top.#CL# Kovarov darts in and clinches Kazuraba up against the ropes. Kazuraba tries to pull guard but Kovarov forces him back to his feet, against the ropes. He's got his arms around Kovarov's waist but Kovarov gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kazuraba off to one side. Kovarov half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.#T1# Kazuraba tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Kovarov defends well and Kazuraba ends up having to push Kovarov into the ropes where they will battle it out in the clinch. Kazuraba shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Kovarov lands a body shot.
Kazuraba has his takedown stuffed and Kovarov makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Kovarov has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Kovarov looking to pass the half guard. Leo Kovarov dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. #R2# Kovarov moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.#ROC# Kazuraba is rocked! Kovarov batters Kazuraba with a massive right followed by a huge left! Kazuraba is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Kovarov lands a final crushing right hand to drop Kazuraba to the mat with a gruesome thud! Kovarov is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!

#R1##TD# Turturro scores with a takedown into Kazuraba's guard. Turturro works a leg free and moves into half guard. Kazuraba tries to roll over but Turturro keeps him under control.#SUB# Turturro is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Kazuraba is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Frank Turturro! Frank Turturro retains his welterweight title! After the fight, Frank Turturro was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

#R1##TD# Smith closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Kazuraba is trying to escape back to his feet but Smith uses the scramble to pass into side control.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Check out the look on Smith's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
#SUB# Smith is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Kazuraba looks calm but he's in trouble here. Smith gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Kazuraba is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Smith lets go of the hold and Kazuraba can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Rodney Smith! Rodney Smith got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'

#R1# Osterberg scores with a push kick. Kazuraba tries to clinch but Osterberg moves away and Osterberg connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Osterberg scores with a nice body kick.
Kazuraba darts in trying to clinch and Osterberg counters with a solid body kick. Osterberg lands a nice looking kick to the body. Kazuraba takes a step back to recover. Osterberg is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Kazuraba like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Kazuraba from another fist facial!
