Willink prevents the takedown attempt.
Willink drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Cortez gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Cortez has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Willink is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Willink gets underhooks to prevent Cortez's takedown attempt.
Jocko Willink has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fabian Cortez. Willink prevents a takedown attempt there.
Cortez has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Willink after a bit of a struggle. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A short body shot lands from Willink as the two fighters clinch.
Willink throws a knee to the head but misses.
Willink wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Cortez letting Willink take a breather here. Cortez is trying to drag Willink to the mat but Willink just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Cortez is defending well against a takedown attempt. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. #TD# Willink manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Cortez makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Cortez working some strikes from top position. Willink keeping moving, preventing Cortez from controlling successfully. Cortez must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Cortez passes into half guard. Willink tries to roll over but Cortez keeps him under control. Cortez working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Cortez uses his free foot to push down on Willink's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Willink. Willink tries to get back to half guard but can't. Cortez controlling the pace for now. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Cortez breaks from Willink's wrist control and lands an elbow. Willink in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Cortez has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Willink's face.

Cortez looks up at the clock and then as Willink takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Cortez smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cortez scoring with punches from side control. #ROC2# Willink is rocked! Cortez cracks Willink with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Cortez immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Willink is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Cortez!
