Silverio tries to pull guard but Vega holds him up against the cage and eventually Silverio drops back down to his feet.
Vega unloads a knee to the mid-section. Silverio lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Vega lands a knee to the head.

#R1# A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Baxter. Baxter is looking to clinch. Vega misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
#TD2# Baxter gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Baxter is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. #REVR# Vega wants to get back to full guard. Baxter seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Vega does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Vega wants to improve his position but Baxter is controlling well.

After a battle for position, Vega asserts his dominance and retains side control. MakGregor manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Vega has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Vega throws a strike but MakGregor avoids it easily and moves to full guard. MakGregor wants to get back to his feet but Vega is in a dominant position and won't allow it. #T1# Vega throwing strikes but missing. Vega controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. #REF3# The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
