Ward avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Schulz misses with a wild body shot. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Ward! But no joy. A shot to the liver by Schulz. Beautiful body shot. Ward avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Schulz comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Ward closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Schulz lands a nice shot to the body.

#R1# Ward misses with an uppercut. Miranda saw that one coming. Randell Miranda seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Miranda keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Ward pivots, looking for a leg kick but Miranda is out of range and Ward settles back down. Miranda wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Miranda throws a series of punches but Ward avoids them all with ease. Ward looks like he wants to counter punch here. Ward rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Miranda moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Miranda misses with a double jab.
Ward throws out a powerful jab. Miranda cracks Ward with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Ward bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Miranda blocks a head kick by Ward.

Ward lands a jab to the nose. Rinaldi looks to land a combination but Ward avoids it well. Rinaldi shoots in but no luck this time. Rinaldi circles away from the clinch attempt.
Rinaldi went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Nice jab there from Ward. #TD# Ward gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.#SUB2# Ward is looking for a triangle but Rinaldi pushes his legs off easily.

Dorian keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Ward. Dorian moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Dorian fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Ward. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Ward crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Dorian - the referee stops the clock and Ward gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Dorian. Ward manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Dorian thumps Ward with a low kick. Ward tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Dorian was well out of range. Poor timing from Ward. Dorian throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Ward looks winded! A solid body kick from Dorian. Dorian feints and then cracks Ward's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Ward down. Dorian lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Dorian thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Ward if he has to take too many more of those.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. You can see the frustration on Ward's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Ward looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Tatternen scores with punches from side control. Ward manages to get back to half guard. Ward trying to control here.

#TD# Walker closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Ward quickly recovers to half guard. Walker lands with a punch from half guard. Ward wants to improve his position but Walker is controlling well.
