Stanley might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.#SU2# Granite stands up from guard. Let's bang! Granite lands a slapping body shot.
Horrible takedown attempt by Stanley or perhaps it was just good defense by Granite, which made it look bad. A nice combination there by Granite.
#CUT2# It looks like Erich Stanley has been cut. The fighters circling - Granite throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Granite thuds a left hand into Stanley's body. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!#TD2# Granite scores with a takedown into Stanley's guard. Granite is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Stanley really is built like a bowling ball. I wonder if he'd roll if you pushed him down a hill... It looks like Granite might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Granite lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Granite stops Stanley from standing up. #T1# Granite scoring with some ground and pound. Stanley can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Granite controls the pace. Let's hope that Granite has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Granite is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Stanley on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Leo Granite dominated that round. The cut man is working on Erich Stanley's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. #R2##CL2# Granite closes the distance and clinches. Granite softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Stanley is trying to stall.
#TD2# Granite has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Stanley clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Granite controlling from the back. Stanley is trying to get back to his feet but Granite has full control of the position and if anything, Stanley has just worked his way into a worse spot. Granite controls the action. Granite is continuing to stall. Granite lands a shot to the head. Granite punches Stanley on the ear. #ROC2# Stanley is rocked! Stanley is trying to remain composed but Granite is hammering down strikes to the side of his head. Oh Stanley is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Granite lands a good shot there. Stanley covers up! Granite smells blood and goes for the finish - the referee warns Stanley to improve his position but he's not intelligently defending himself and the referee has no choice but to step in and end the fight! Granite jumps to his feet and celebrates the important win with his cornermen!

#R1##TD# Stanley scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Kruger is looking for a sweep. Stanley is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Kruger keeping control of the position. Kruger is trying to get back to full guard. Kruger is concentrating on defense, preventing Stanley from advancing position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kruger works his way to full guard. Good work. Stanley preventing the sweep. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Stanley accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. #T1# Kruger has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Stanley has passed into side control.
#SUB# Stanley working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Kruger tries to get back to half guard but can't. Kruger sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. #CL# Stanley closes the distance and clinches. Carson is struggling to control the position.#BC# Stanley breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Stanley is looking to take this fight into the clinch.#CL# Stanley has Carson up against the cage in a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The referee calls for Stanley to work.

Both guys are working to get underhooks. #TD2# Carson is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Stanley can't fight it off and eventually Carson manages to take the fight to the floor. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Erich Stanley. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nice takedown defense from Barnes. No joy for Stanley on that attempt.
