Velasquez looking for a sweep. Not yet Velasquez, not yet. Ryan is looking to stand up but Velasquez won't let him. Ryan with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Ryan wants to control from the top but Velasquez keeps moving. Ryan throwing strikes but missing. Velasquez knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ryan on the ground. Velasquez keeping full guard, as Ryan tries to pass. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Velasquez is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Velasquez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Mcleod wants to control from the top but Velasquez keeps moving. #SU2# Mcleod gets to his feet - Velasquez follows without any prompting. Velasquez throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mcleod's waist but Mcleod gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Velasquez off to one side. #CL2# Mcleod takes the fight into the clinch. Velasquez jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Mcleod walks away with a smile on his face. Velasquez gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Efrain Velasquez. That's going to take a lot out of him. Velasquez keeping full guard, as Blayze tries to pass. Blayze not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Blayze wanted to stand there but Velasquez had control of the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
