Sung advances position into side control! Meyer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sung. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Sung lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Meyer is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Sung asserts his dominance and retains side control. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Meyer can do anything to dispel that myth. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sung controlling the position from side mount. and Steve counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Sung looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Sung throws an overhand right that lands on Steve's shoulder, as Steve tries to avoid the shot. Sung lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. A punch lands to the side of Steve 's head but he takes it in his stride. Sung swings for the body but Steve moves out of range.

#TD2# and Steve counters with a nice double leg into guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Steve wants to get up but he can't break Sung's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. #SUB# Sung has a loose triangle. Dar on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Dar being controlled for a moment. #SUB# Sung is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Dar is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. #SUB# Sung tries for a kimura but Dar is defending well. Check out the look on Sung's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

Childress preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Sung wants to lay and pray for a moment but Childress keeps working. Childress is trying to maintain the position but Sung is very close to passing his half guard. We've been hearing good reports from Sung's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Childress tries to get to full guard but Sung has control of the leg. Sung lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Childress punching from the bottom.

Sung tries to land a sweep but no joy. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Sung manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Tatum manages to get himself to full guard.

Sung scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Sung uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Amar Utu.#CL2# Amar Utu moves into the clinch. Sung wants a takedown but no success here.
Amar Utu is working for takedown but Sung is calmly controlling the position for now. Amar Utu drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Sung fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sam Sung. That's going to take a lot out of him.#TD2# Amar Utu works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Amar Utu landing with the ground and pound. #SUB# Sung is looking to cinch up a triangle. Amar Utu throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Sung's body to avoid the submission. Sung has instead reached around Amar Utu's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Sung arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

#R1# Morrison moves in looking to clinch but Sung pushes him off. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Sung. Morrison tries to close the distance and clinch but Sung swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. #TD2# Sung drives through with a takedown into guard. #ES# Morrison has his feet on Sung's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Morrison fails with an attempt to clinch.
Morrison tries to clinch but Sung moves out of range. #TD2# Sung shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Sung was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Sung advances to mount. #SUB2# Sung is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Morrison to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Morrison shrugs it off. Morrison working to try and regain half guard.
Sung moves to back control. #SUB2# Sung working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Morrison is doing well to defend. Sung seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Morrison is forced to tap and this one is over!

The fighters circling - Sung throws out the jab but it was never going to land. #TD# Sung shoots in and bounces Williams off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Williams can't keep his opponent in guard - Sung advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. We've been hearing that Sung has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Williams really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sung. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.#SUB# Sung is trying to work for a kimura but Williams is defending well.

#R1##TD2# Allen gets caught napping as Sung dives in and scores a takedown. Allen manages to retain guard. Sung has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Cozad Amsterdam. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Sung pushes down on Allen's leg and manages to get into half guard. Allen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sung on the ground. Sung works his way into side control. #SUB2# Sung has an Americana. Allen didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Sung is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Sung hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

After the fight, Sam Sung was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things.
