Quincy manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.#SUB# Quincy has his foot on Williams's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Williams works his way back into a safe position though. Quincy keeping moving, preventing Williams from controlling successfully. #SUB2# Williams drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Quincy manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Williams has Quincy in his guard.#REVR# Williams is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Our spies down at at Arvins Bootcamp inform us that Williams has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Quincy wants to control from the top but Williams keeps moving. That was a close round but I would say that Buddy Quincy will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. #R2##CL# The fight moves into the clinch position. Williams wants a takedown but no success here.

That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. At Night cracks Quincy with a solid left hand.#CUT# It looks like Buddy Quincy has been cut. At Night is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. At Night postures up in Quincy's guard and throws a big left but Quincy blocks it. At Night trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. At Night postures up.
Quincy looking for a sweep. Not yet Quincy, not yet. At Night slips nicely into half guard. At Night drops an elbow to the side of Quincy's head. At Night has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. At Night thows a huge punch but Quincy dodges it nicely.
At Night not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. At Night slips a nice elbow through Quincy's hands, connecting with Quincy's forehead. At Night looks to score some points with some ground and pound. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! At Night with a nice head shot there. At Night arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Quincy's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Ariel At Night! After winning the bout, Ariel At Night thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.

#R1# Quincy fails in his attempt to clinch. Vasile misses with an uppercut. Vasile looks to land a left hand but Quincy moved out of range nicely. Quincy uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Vasile. Quincy shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Vasile as he avoids it easily. Quincy scores with a jab to the head.
Vasile throws a hook but Quincy blocks it. Buddy Quincy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Good standup being displayed there by Quincy as he connects with a hook. Quincy uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Vasile. Quincy shoots in looking for a takedown but Vasile manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Quincy's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Quincy doesn't succeed with the takedown#TD# so Vasile counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
