#R1##CL2# Brown closes the distance and pushes Diaz back into the cage. Diaz wants to get back to striking at distance but Brown won't allow it.
Diaz tries for a takedown but Brown manages to get underhooks.
Diaz trying to control the position but instead, Brown has worked for underhooks and has pushed Diaz into the cage. Brown gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Diaz.
A short right from Brown on the inside. Brown throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Brown creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Brown blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Diaz has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Brown is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Niko Diaz. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Brown as Diaz tries to tie him up. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Nikos. #TD2# Diaz has hold of one of Nikos's legs. Nikos is fighting the takedown attempt but Diaz gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Diaz loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Diaz lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. #R1# Saslik shoots in but Diaz avoids the takedown attempt easily. Saslik fails with the takedown. Saslik is looking to clinch. Diaz ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Saslik moves away. Saslik slips under a jab from Diaz.#TD2# Diaz looking for a takedown here - he's got it. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Diaz's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Diaz forces his way into half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Diaz drops an elbow to the side of Saslik's head. Saslik on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. #R1# Diaz takes a swing at Bentley's ribcage but misses. Bentley really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Diaz jabbing away but nothing is landing. A jab from Diaz misses. Diaz takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Diaz throws an off balance right hand
and McAuliffe counters with a lovely shot to the body. A big right from McAuliffe misses. McAuliffe lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
#CL# McAuliffe closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. McAuliffe avoiding damage as Diaz throws knees to the body.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Diaz scores with a couple of good head shots there.
