Hogan wants to sweep here but Hightower controlling him for the moment.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hogan keeping moving, preventing Hightower from controlling successfully.
Hightower is fighting to break Hogan's control of his arms but Hogan is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

After the fight, Hollywood Hogan was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

Jones slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Hightower closes the distance and clinches up with Jones, looking for a takedown. Hightower pushes Jones against the cage but Jones circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
A combination from Jones does no damage.
Hightower walks into a jab.
No luck for Hightower with that takedown attempt.
Jones falls off balance throwing a combination

A punch combination from Hightower misses.
Hightower slips a jab and a cross from Jones.
Jones throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Hightower on the side of the head.
Jones's coach down at Vinny’s Gym *PFC sponsored gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Jones's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Hightower shoots in and drives through. Jones sprawls well.
Hightower could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Hightower misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Jones stuffs the takedown attempt from Hightower. Hightower gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for George Hightower. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Jones steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Hightower is out on his feet! Jones sets himself and nearly takes Hightower's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!

Hightower is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Hightower has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Hightower keeps the fight on the outside.
Hightower swats away the attempt to clinch by Allen.
Hightower throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Allen goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

and Hightower moves into the clinch.
Allen goes for a takedown attempt but Hightower pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Hightower flicks out a counter leg kick but Allen steps away.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Hightower. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Jones throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Hightower takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Hightower on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.

Jones cracks Hightower with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Jones has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Hightower to stand back up!#CUT2#

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jones connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Hightower covering up! Jones comes in with a big uppercut and Hightower goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.
